Etude House Color Lips Fit (Perfect Fit Red) – Review

Summer is coming to an end here in England ūüė¶ but I bought¬†one final summer lip tint which I’m going to review for you today. I received¬†Etude House Color Lips Fit in Perfect Fit Red from an Ebay seller BringBringShop¬†for ¬£4.49.

The lip tint comes with 10g of product which I think is quite a lot for the price that you’re paying. Although the name “Perfect Fit Red” suggests that this is¬†a red colour, it is not. Much like the promotion pictures, it is more of a dark hot pink with a red hue.

Doe-foot applicator

The doe-foot applicator allows the tint to be applied smoothly and evenly. The product itself has a really nice sweet fragrance. When applied on the lips this tint has a thin cream consistency which dries matte. I prefer to dab a bit of product in the middle of my lips and use my finger or a cotton swab to blend out the product and build up cover if necessary. This tint is also perfect if you like doing the gradient lip trend.

The lip tint has really good staying power and is non-drying if you wear a lip balm underneath. It lasts up to nearly 6 hours but I had to top up after eating if I wanted to maintain the opacity of the tint, it does fade to an even tint after around 8 hours which is still really¬†pretty. I do find that if I apply the tint as a full coverage lip-stick with the applicator it causes the colour to¬†bleed, so it’s best to apply this tint in layers.

Overall I’m very happy with this product. It is a cheap, long lasting, comfortable lip tint which can be used to give sheer or full coverage.

Smells Like Summer

I wanted to update my summer fragrance but I didn’t want to commit to buying an expensive perfume, so I did a little shopping for some summery fragrancy stuff.

The first place I went to was the Body Shop and I purchased the Indian Night Jasmine Fragrance Mist (¬£7.50). This stuff smells seriously gorgeous, it’s got a really seductive oriental, floral jasmine smell without being too overpowering. I also bought the matching shower gel (¬£6.50) and body butter (¬£10). Once these products are layered together they smell divine! I also bought the Aloe & Soft Linen scented candle from the Body Shop (¬£10), this is such a fresh, light scent that lingers hours after it has been lit.

Next I went to Lush and bought the R&B Hair Moisturiser (¬£11.25). In the summer my hair completely dries out so I needed a product that will re-infuse my hair with some moisture. This hair moisturiser has lots of nice oils like coconut and olive oil to strengthen the hair, it is meant for thick, course, curly, very dry or Afro-Caribbean hair so I wouldn’t recommend for the fine haired ladies. I rub a tiny bit of the product on the end of my hair and it tames the frizzies whilst giving my hair a healthy sheen. Also worth mentioning is the amazing smell of this product, it has a strong citrus scent and makes me think of being on a tropical island¬†ūüôā

I then got¬†the Liz Earle¬†Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser¬†Orange Flower¬†&¬†Chamomile¬†Limited Edition (¬£19.75). As far as I can tell this has the same formulation as the normal cleanse and polish, but the smell of the orange flower and chamomile is just incredible. I think I’m going to stock up on these as it is a limited edition.

Finally, I bought Kiehls¬†Ultra Light Daily Moisturiser SPF 50 (¬£31). I’ve been using Cliniques ¬†Even Better Skin Tone Correcting Moisturiser SPF 20 but that feels way too heavy on my skin in this heat, plus it doesn’t have a high enough SPF. The Kiehls moisturiser has a light texture, which initially feels heavy on the skin, but once it’s absorbed the heaviness disappears. It’s the perfect make-up base if you just wear face powder or BB cream during the summer.
