It’s official, I’m a coloured eyeliner convert!
I went out for drinks for my brothers birthday last night and had an excuse to try a different make-up look with some new products that I’ve bought, specifically the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils in black (Perversion) and a beautiful aqua called Deep-End. These pencils are really soft to apply and DO NOT SMUDGE so I really recommend them.

If you look at any picture of me you’ll notice that I never wear black eyeliner on my bottom lashes because it just doesn’t suit my eye shape. Trust me, I’ve tried it every single way and I find it closes up my eyes and ruins the look. Even when I was experimenting with this colour I was so close to giving up, but after much practice I think I’ve got it down. I find that I need to put a highlight on the inner third, I used the Mary Lou Manizer by theBalm, the coloured eyeliner in the middle of the lashline and black just on the corners. I’m really happy with the way it turned out and I’m looking to try out more colours, what do you guys think?
I also got my hair highlighted (balayage) earlier in the day at Taylor Taylor who have previously won “Best Hairdressers in London”. After I saw the results with my own hair I knew exactly why. Black hair is notoriously difficult to colour but my stylist managed to lift the dark pigment in my hair and give it some sunkissed caramel highlights.
I know this was a super short post but unfortunately I’ve got a lot of studying to do (I’ll explain in a later post). Any questions, comment below!

I only recently heard of this “balayage” hair highlighting technique – it looks very natural on you!
I never wear black eye liner on my lower lash line either – it really does close off my eyes too. I’ve been wanting to try a colourful eye liner for a while now – might have to give this try since it’s a good summery look. Nicely done! 🙂

Thanks! My fear with highlights is that they will look orange or brassy but the hairdressers did a great job. Also definitely give coloured liner a try, I wasn’t sure I’d be able to pull it off but now I’m so tempted to buy more colours! X
