Hey folks I’m calling out to all my beauty blogger friends for some much needed advice/ recommendations. I’m searching for a new night time moisturiser so who better to ask than you lovely people! It needs to be suitable for oily skin and can’t cost more than say £30. Also it has to be 100% fragrance free (parfum, perfume or essential oils) and no alcohol in the formula.
My skin concerns are dullness, hyper-pigmentation and anti-ageing.
Please, please, please comment below with some suggestions, I’ve done so much research and I’m really not sure what to try next.
Thanks in advance!
Jay x
P.s. I’ve already tried Clinique Dramatically Different Moistuizing Gel which didn’t give me the results I wanted.
Hey Jay try Liz Earle Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask, it’s £16. I have combination skin which is sensitive. This is a mask but I use as a night-cream. It’s super gentle, nothing nasty in it, but it works! It’s also really good at night if you’ve had to much exposure to the sun etc x

Thanks for the recommendation hun, I shall do some research on the treatment mask. I used the Skin Repair moisturiser for years but wanted to step away from fragrance even in the form of essential oils x

Hi Jay – I was sent a gorgeous pot of the Olay Complete Care Night Cream for review & have been using it every night for the past 8 weeks… it’s for oily skin too – personally I’m beyond impressed with it and have read some glowing reviews from others. It’s well under £10 so below budget, highly recommend you give it a go if you haven’t done so already. Karen xo

Thanks for the recommendation Karen. I’ve heard really good things about Olay so will look into this and the price point is a big plus too x

It really is Jay – honestly you could spend alot more on equally great products but this one really needs to be tried. It’s so lovely 🙂 Hope you like it if you do end up choosing it!! Ps: Their refreshing toner is amazing too! X

I’ll do some research and see if it’s what I’m looking for, also if it doesn’t work it’s not like I would have wasted much money either 🙂 x

Exactly Jay 🙂 Not a massive dent in your pocket if it doesn’t work out X

I only use Nivea moisturizing cream! Very cheap and works wonders. 💜

I’m considering getting a drug store moisturiser like Nivea but I’m just so attached to my high end products! Decisions, decisions! lol

I would totally recommend the kiehl’s midnight recovery concentrate ! it is a serum but it is very moisturising and abides with all your conditions and I can assure you , you will love how your skin feels and looks in the morning 🙂 but it is a pricey but definitely worth it 🙂

I have a sample of this somewhere in my drawers, I will definitely try it out because I’m running out of serum. My only concern is the potential irritating Lavender oil but fingers crossed it should work for me 🙂 x

The one I’m using is from Nivea (Intensive Moisturizer) it’s really moisturizing for me. But I don’t think you’ll like it, it has a floral fragrance. I think it’s best to go for an organic beauty shop online or in your city 🙂

I think I’ll have to do just that. I’m looking at La Roche-Posay Toleriane Fluid at the moment, seems like a cheap, simple one 🙂 Jay x

Exfoliation is so important! I tried oz naturals recently. Free sample. I thought it was spectacular. There’s a review and photos on my blog. But this will really help brighten your skin and make anti aging products more readily absorbed. No matter what you do, I’d introduce this into your routine for sure.

Thanks for the tip ^_^ I agree exfoliation is super important. I’m using daily BHA and weekly AHA liquids at the moment. Will check out your post on Oz Naturals though, it sounds amazing! X

Hi Jay, have you tried the Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective serum ? I am not sure about it’s UK price though…

Hey Sachini! No I haven’t tried that before, it looks like a really good product for hyperpigmentation, slightly out of my price range but perhaps I’ll look more into it. Thanks for the recommendation 🙂 x

You are welcome! You can get a few samples first to check if it’s working. Kiehl’s are quite generous with samples..
