May Beauty Wishlist

beauty wishlist

Hey beauties I hope you’re well. My beauty wishlist for May is quite small because I’m planning to buy a new camera which will take a significant chunk out of my pay check. So let’s get right into it!

1) Anastasia Beverly Hill DipBrow Pomade

This product is a cult classic and I need, need, need to try it. From all the pictures and videos I’ve seen it makes your brows look perfect, I can’t wait to try it!

2) Lancome Miracle Cushion Foundation

I only heard about this product, well, literally today. I’ve been wanting to try a cushion foundation since I first saw them in Korea and I’m so glad that the Western market has finally caught onto it. Cushion foundations give a light coverage and the sponge application means it will be airbrushed and dewy, so it’ll be great for the summer time. Also I’m so happy that it is available in darker shades, as a woman with a deeper skin tone I can’t tell you how frustrating it is to have companies completely ignore you! =(

3) Pur Minerals 4-in-1 Tinted Moisturiser

This tinted moisturiser looks like a great one with some really natural ingredients for those days when you want something light on the skin. I’m all about the mineral make-up life so this will be a great addition to my kit.

4) Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews about this moisturiser, it seems to be a product people either love or hate. As the weather is heating up I need a nighttime moisturiser that will keep me hydrated but not oily so I’m willing to give this a go. Hopefully it won’t break me out like it has others!

5) Soap & Glory Archery Brow Pencil

I’m running out of my MAC Eyebrow Pencil and this product is apparently a dupe for the Anastasia Brow Wiz so it is next on my list.

6) Clinique Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturizer

This moisturiser has been on my radar for a while but I’m not sure whether it will be too rich for my combination-oily skin so I will have to try it out first before committing to buy. It is packed with antioxidants to prevent ageing so I’m hoping it works with my skin.

7) MaxFactor Masterpiece Max Mascara

I remember trying this mascara in my teens and loving it. It is still one of the highest rated mascaras on the Boots website so it must be good, time to give it another try methinks.

8) L’Oreal Paris Miss Manga Mascara

I need a volumising mascara in my collection and a lot of my favourite beauty gurus recommend this so I shall be trying it out for myself. Review coming soon!

So that’s it for this month. Currently I’m pretty satisfied with my make-up collection and haven’t had a massive urge to splurge on beauty products. What is on your current beauty wishlist? Comment below and let me know 🙂

  1. I’m hoping to get a new camera next month too! That means I have to curb my spending… so hard to do!! I wouldnt get the dramatically different moisturizer if I were you, its too expensive to take such a risk right now especially because of all the negative reviews. hahaha. x

      1. meee toooooo just this afternoon i was at sephora shopping when im supposed to be saving…… its not even funny. felt like slapping myself just after the purchase. I havent tried it, but I wanted to get it so many times and always stopped myself because of the horrible reviews. I usually get my reviews from makeupalley.com

      2. I know what you mean about the guilt after spending when you shouldn’t be =D Yeahhh I read the reviews there too and it seems pretty hit and miss, I wish they did samples! I’m leaning more towards the other Clinique moisturiser at the moment, it has some great reviews. Jay x

  2. I agree with lots of your choices! I really want to try the Anastasia DipBrow especially. Also, I have the Clinique Dramatically Different Gel and I absolutely love it! My skin can be quite oily and it works perfectly for me. Joanna xxx

    1. Thanks for reading 🙂 I’m glad that companies are starting to make an effort to be more inclusive, but in 2015 I really don’t feel like it’s a discussion we should we having. All companies should cater to all skin tones! Jay x
